Gemma Helyer Wins Inclusive Digital Professional Award at Diversity and Inclusion Awards Wales 2024

Hosted by ThinkEDI and sponsored by Ogi, this prestigious event, held on 19th December in Newport, recognised individuals and organisations driving real change in diversity, equity, and inclusion across Wales.

As a leading advocate for inclusive digital design, Gemma was recognised for her ability to create user-centric digital experiences that remove barriers and improve accessibility for all. Her expertise in UX strategy and inclusive design ensures that digital products not only meet business objectives but also deliver seamless, equitable user experiences.

Beyond her work at Box UK, Gemma is committed to mentoring and empowering the next generation of UX professionals. She actively supports aspiring designers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry while championing best practices in accessibility and inclusive design.

The event also saw the launch of the ThinkEDI app, designed to tackle barriers in employment, services, and education—an initiative that aligns with Box UK’s own mission to create high-performance, user-focused digital solutions.
